IMPACT and KOGO (Knit One Give One) – Other

KOGO (Knit One Give One) is a volunteer group of people who love to knit. IMPACT is a volunteer group of people making a difference to the 500 Victorian women who, each week, seek refuge with their children as they escape extreme violence at home.

On Mitzvah Day, these two volunteer groups invite you to join them to wrap gifts to be distributed to these women and children over the upcoming Christmas period.

What particular skills do you need to participate in this Mitzvah Day project? None apart from wanting to be with people who care and want to make a difference to those escaping extreme violence at home. Oh, and if you have the ability to gift wrap – either really well or as simply as sticking something into a cellophane bag and tying it with a ribbon – that would help.

But if you can’t do that, can you stick pre-printed stickers onto gifts? If you can do any of these things then you have the skills to help us!

All ages and all genders welcome!

Please bring a smile and a sense of humour and, if you can, something new a child or woman might enjoy – even a scrapbook or journal, some crayons or pens, or some chocolate – who doesn’t like chocolate?

Pop in for an hour or more anytime between 11am and 4pm.

Please join us in KOGO’s room at the back of the Lamm Family Library, next door to Beth Weizmann in Hawthorn Road, for half an hour or more from 11am, 304 Hawthorn Road, Caulfield South
