Gift of Life Australia (Blood Bank Donation)

As several Jewish Leukaemia patients in the Jewish community are not able to find a matching blood stem cell donor in their own family, a community member may be the one to save their life. A  small blood sample is all it takes to be tested and Registered onto the Aussie Stem Cell/Bone Marrow Donor Registry, a world wide register. Of course anyone healthy, 18-45 years old can join the Registry anytime at any Blood Donation Centre / Mobile Unit while donating blood. As special forms and test tubes are needed, an appointment is required.

Testing takes place every Sunday morning at Wolper jewish Hospital by appointment.
