B'nai B'rith Hatikvah UnitWorking BeeNoTeam of Hatikvah members cut doll shapes from calico. The dolls are stitched, stuffed and sewn up but not decorated. They are then delivered to the Royal Children's Hospital and distributed by the Life Therapy Unit to children who attend for various procedures. The dolls are used for comfort and for demonstrating some procedures to allay the children's anxieties.AdultsVIC-Balwyn North
B'nai B'rith Hatikvah UnitMake and ShareNoDolls Project
Due to the fact that our unit is on this side of the river it is very hard for our members to the area where most of Mitzvah activities take place.
We consider because of our units establishment and continuation of our project of making calico dolls for the Royal Children's Hospital. Is also our Mitzvah Day activity. The calico dolls produced in a Sunday morning or because of covid this form of production is not possible so we use the click and collect method.
Gerry our coordinator would make up bags of Stuffing, with already produced calico material sewn up requiring stuffing and final sewing. Once complete the bags would be returned to Gerry for delivery or pick up of completed dolls.
These dolls are in constant demand from the RCH as they are used to demonstrate on the dolls what kind of procedure the children will be involved in.

Emmy Monash Aged CareFood RescueNoEmmy Monash / C Care initiative
Partnering with CCare, a community organisation supporting individuals and families experiencing food insecurity and social isolation, the residents of Emmy Monash Aged Care will join the volunteers of C Care to pack and label groceries and goods for delivery to their recipients.
This offers our residents the opportunity to "give back" to their community through a meaningful activity.. making a difference to others and to themselves.
It gives our residents huge satisfaction to be able to participate in this project.. being seen as active contributors to their community which they helped build, and know they are making a difference through their efforts to the wellbeing of others.

Share the DignityCollectathonYes#ItsInTheBag is Share the Dignity's annual event where we encourage everyday Australians to put together bags filled with essential items, to donate to someone in need for Christmas.

We are collecting bags for women filled with essentials: shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, roll on deodorant, sealed period products. You can then add some luxury items to make someone in need feel special. This could be a water bottle, scrunchies, hairbrush, skincare, or makeup - the choice is yours.
These bags can be dropped off in Yokine, WA.
To add an extra touch, you can write a personal letter to the recipient to show they are loved and thought of.
