Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust Working Bee The Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust would like to openly invite the Jewish community to attend a working bee at Brighton General Cemetery to attend and clean the Jewish areas. The Brighton Cemetery has over 120 years of history and is the final resting place for some of Melbourne's most iconic and influential leaders, such as Sir John Monash.
This is a great opportunity to improve the look and cleanliness of loved ones who have passed. By giving back to those who could never return the favour is the most humble of acts and is the highest sign of respect and gratitude.
* Equipment will be supplied.
* Cleaning will only apply to general areas and not to specific graves as consent must be given by the holder of right.
